Reporting in the Director, Stewardship, the (Senior) Assistant Director of Gift Stewardship and Reporting plays a pivotal role in managing the stewardship and reporting functions for major donors at NTU.
This role involves developing and executing strategies for donor engagement and ensuring effective fund utilization, by collaborating with faculties to align donor contributions with institutional needs, and ensuring the administration of funds to ensure they meet donor intentions and organizational priorities. The role is also responsible for preparing comprehensive impact reports, maintaining accurate donor data, and working closely with leadership to align stewardship initiatives with NTU's strategic goals, ultimately enhancing the university's ability to engage donors and maximize the impact of their support.

The role is also responsible for preparing comprehensive impact reports, maintaining accurate donor data, and working closely with leadership to align stewardship initiatives with NTU's strategic goals, ultimately enhancing the university's ability to engage donors and maximize the impact of their support.
Responsibilities:
- Stewardship and Donor Engagement: Develop and implement strategic plans to recognize and engage major donors. This involves creating tailored recognition programs, managing personalized communications, and fostering strong donor relationships to enhance engagement and retention.
- Faculty Engagement: Collaborate with faculty members to ensure that donor funds are utilized effectively. Align donor contributions with faculty needs and projects, and facilitate communication between faculty and donors to demonstrate the impact of their support.
- Donor Fund Utilization: Work with Faculties to ensure the allocation and administration of donor funds are used according to donor intentions and organizational priorities. Monitor the effectiveness of fund utilization and provide transparent reporting on fund impacts.
- Impact Reporting: Supervise the preparation and delivery of detailed impact reports for major donors. Ensure reports accurately reflect the outcomes and achievements resulting from their contributions, and maintain high standards of reporting accuracy and integrity.
- Data Management: Ensure the accuracy and confidentiality of donor records within the CRM system. Track and analyze donor engagement data to inform strategic decisions and maintain compliance with reporting standards.
- Strategic Alignment: Work closely with leadership to align stewardship initiatives with NTU's strategic goals. Contribute to long-term planning and goal-setting to support the university's growth and success.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
- Understanding of philanthropy as it relates to higher education.
- Knowledge of good donor relationship management.
- Minimum of 10 - 12 years' experience preferably in higher education (or a comparably complex organization) in development, stewardship, advancement, or a related function, involving a range of senior stakeholders.
- Demonstrated success in achieving strategic outcomes in a large and complex environment.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate to a wide range of audiences with gravitas.
- Excellent ability to innovate and deal with ambiguity and organizational sensitivity with tact and diplomacy; to be opportunistic, responsive, resourceful, and resilient.
- Demonstrate a clear understanding and awareness of ethical considerations pertaining to advancement work, as well as an understanding and appreciation of cultural and intercultural sensitivities.
