Assistant Director/Senior Assistant Director, Gift Stewardship and Reporting, Stewardship

Reporting into the Director, Stewardship, the Senior Assistant Director of Gift Stewardship and Reporting plays a pivotal role in managing the stewardship and reporting functions for major donors at NTU.

This role is primarily responsible for developing and executing comprehensive fund stewardship procedures. Working collaboratively with faculties, the position ensures effective donor fund utilization by aligning donor contributions with institutional needs, while maintaining adherence to donor intentions and organizational priorities.

Key responsibilities include
  • Data Tracking and Analysis: Utilize CRM and other data management tools to gain accurate insights into donor engagement, giving patterns, and stewardship effectiveness.
  • Donor Fund Administration: Work with Faculties' administration to ensure utilization of donor funds, such that funds are allocated and used effectively and in accordance with donor intent. Develop, implement, and periodically review processes for accurate and efficient tracking of fund usage and reporting outcomes to donors.
  • Impact Monitoring: Monitor and evaluate the impact of donor-funded projects and initiatives, working with faculties to provide detailed reports and updates to donors. Ensure that donor funds are utilized efficiently to support high-impact projects and programs.
  • Impact Reports: Oversee the creation and delivery of detailed impact reports for major donors.
  • Gift Stewardship: Work collaboratively with fund administrators and internal stakeholders to support the Major Gifts team in effective donor stewardship. Review and optimize processes to ensure timely execution of stewardship activities, maintain streamlined communication between various parties, and manage workflow dependencies.


Requirements:
  • A good university Degree, preferably Master's Degree, in Engineering, Science or Finance related field.
  • Minimum of 10 - 12 years' experience preferably in higher education or philanthropy (or a comparably complex organization)
  • Demonstrated success in achieving strategic outcomes in a large and complex environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and critically.
  • Proficient in numerical analysis to derive insights that can improve strategies, polices and processes.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate to a wide range of audiences with gravitas.
  • Excellent ability to innovate and deal with ambiguity and organizational sensitivity with tact and diplomacy; to be opportunistic, responsive, resourceful, and resilient.
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding and awareness of ethical considerations pertaining to advancement work, as well as an understanding and appreciation of cultural and intercultural sensitivities.
