Assistant Director, IT Governance
NTU is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to lead our IT governance and audit management efforts. As Assistant Director, IT Governance, you will oversee critical initiatives, including the NTU-wide Sunrise Program and drive our ISO 20000 certification process. This position is essential to ensuring NTU's IT systems are robust, compliant, and aligned with industry standards for security, risk management, and continuity planning.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the NTU Sunrise Program, an initiative aimed at strengthening IT governance across NTU.
  • Establish and maintain an IT risk management framework in collaboration with the Cyber Security and Enterprise Risk Management teams, ensuring that risk controls and mitigation strategies are effective and up to date.
  • Develop and oversee IT continuity plan, ensuring alignment with both the NTU Business Continuity Planning and international standards, including ISO 20000 and ISO 27001.
  • Lead the ISO certification process across all IT services, including critical infrastructure such as network and data centre operations, ensuring compliance with quality and service management standards.
  • Collaborate with the Internal Audit Office to design and implement a multi-year audit strategy.
  • Lead the execution of IT audits, acting as the key representative for CITS in audit management.
  • Work with the Office of Finance to support external audits related to NTU's financial systems, ensuring full compliance with audit requirements.


Requirements:
  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related disciplines.
  • Certification in IT governance and management such as ISO 20000, ITIL v4, CITPM, or CISA would be preferred.
  • At least 10 years of relevant IT experience, with a focus on IT governance, risk management and audits.
  • Strong experience in cross-functional leadership and team collaboration, with a proven ability to solve complex IT issues.
  • Prior experience working in a CIO Office or equivalent would be preferred.
  • Hands-on experience in IT infrastructure would be an added advantage.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
  • Detail-oriented, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of governance and audit compliance.
