Senior Executive/Assistant Manager, Communications and Operations

The Future Ready Food Safety Hub (FRESH) serves as Singapore's lead scientific platform under the Singapore Food Story R&D Programme, to bring together researchers, regulators and industry to build up Singapore's food safety science and R&D capabilities to secure Singapore's food supply and economic value proposition. FRESH will embark on R&D and talent development activities to help enhance Singapore's local food regulatory capabilities and allow "first-in-market" food products to be safely launched in Singapore, as well as help promote Singapore-developed food standards internationally. FRESH is part of the Singapore Food Story R&D Programme (SFS), with partner organisations being the Singapore Food Agency (SFA), A*STAR and the Nanyang Technological University (NTU).

The Senior Executive/Assistant Manager, Communications and Operations will play a pivotal role in enhancing FRESH's visibility and reputation through strategic marketing and communication initiatives. This position involves developing and implementing effective communication strategies, managing media relations, and creating compelling content to engage stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a creative mindset, and a passion for food safety and sustainability.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide operational support for FRESH's communications overall strategy.
  • Identify and leverage opportunities to enhance FRESH's brand visibility and engagement within the food safety sector.
  • Produce high-quality content for various platforms, including but not limited to newsletters, reports, social media, and the FRESH website.
  • Ensure consistent messaging and branding across all communication materials.
  • Oversee FRESH's digital presence, including website management and social media channels.
  • Provide support in organising events such as team lunches, conferences, and webinars to disseminate FRESH's work and foster collaboration.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful event outcomes.
  • Engage with industry partners, academic institutions, and government agencies to promote FRESH's initiatives and foster partnerships.
  • Undertake any other general administrative duties and ad-hoc projects as assigned.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline
  • Preferably 1 year or more in research-related or higher education industry working experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative ideas and solutions.
  • Experience in event management is highly desirable
  • Good team player with strong sense of ownership
