Senior Assistant Manager, Faculty Affairs
The Senior Assistant Manager (Faculty Affairs) supports the Associate Provost Faculty Affairs (APFA) Office in planning and implementing faculty development and engagement initiatives and managing day-to-day operations with the objective to facilitate the professional development and engagement of faculty members of the University.

He/she also provide secretariat and operational support to University level committees/ review meetings formed for the appointment, reappointment, promotion & tenure of Faculty members.

Key Responsibilities:

Faculty Development Policies and Programmmes

Suppor APFA and DAPFA t in conducting research and consolidating learning resources across the University for charting faculty development roadmap to facilitate the professional development of faculty. Plan, organise and implement various internal and external faculty development programmes such as Mentorship and clinic sessions on faculty promotion and tenure preparation. Support in communicating new or updated faculty development related policies and processes to stakeholders and faculty and provide guidance on policy application to ensure successful implementation.

Secretariat Support for Committees on Faculty Appointment, Reappointment, Promotion & Tenure

Provide secretariat and operational support to University level committees formed for the appointment, reappointment, promotion & tenure of Faculty members. Compile and provide timely, organised and accurate dossier information to facilitate decision making. Coach junior members of the team in dossier preparation to ensure accuracy and compliance with University's requirements. Manage process improvements and standardisations and update operational procedures for University internal controls and policy compliance.

Support in Faculty Data Analytics

Partner with Chief Data Office, OHR and other departments in managing data requests from the University Support in preparing data analytics and reports to facilitate planning and decision making by the APFA Office.

Requirements:
  • A bachelor's degree
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience
  • Prior work experience in an institute of higher learning will be an added advantage
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Meticulous and organized
  • Proactive with demonstrated dynamism and resourcefulness in problem solving
