Established in 1981, the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) https://www.ntu.edu.sg/eee is one of the founding Schools of the Nanyang Technological University. Built on a culture of excellence, the School is renowned for its high academic standards and research. It is one of the largest EEE schools in the world, with more than 120 faculty members and an enrolment of more than 4,000, of which about 1,000 are graduate students.

We invite applications for the position of Assistant Manager, Laboratory Services. The incumbent shall provide technical excellence across multiple laboratories in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide administrative/technical support for all laboratory users.
• Operate laboratory equipment and carry out periodic maintenance.
• Procurement for laboratory teaching and research labs.
• Asset management and maintaining proper records for inventory auditing.
• Provide technical support for all research/joint industrial projects.
• Support all assigned laboratory teaching classes.
• Coordinate with facilities department on Centre infrastructure maintenance, upgrade, and repair.
• Implement robust communication channels, such as regular meetings, email updates, and collaboration tools, to facilitate coordination and information sharing across teams and research centers.
• Experience in risk management, workplace safety and health (i.e. ISO 45001) is a plus.
• Assist the Safety Committee on laboratory safety matters.
• To establish internal controls and procedures on the school laser and Bio safety management.
• Perform any ad-hoc duties as assigned by the school.

Requirements:

• A Degree in Electrical and Electronic or related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experiences.
• Knowledges in chemistry and biotechnology is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical skills and an effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Highly motivated, initiative, proactive.
• Capable of working independently while also being a strong team player with leadership skills.
• Ability to multi-task and deliver work with high level of accuracy and timeliness.
