The Office of Finance (OFIN) supports the University in planning and executing sound financial management in fulfillment of the University's mission; implementing and maintaining a robust financial framework that supports management in effective decision-making; providing fiscal stewardship of University's resources; and ensuring financial governance and compliance with regulatory requirements.

This role will report to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Responsibilities

• Identifying trends, analysing financial data, performing variance analysis and preparing reports/presentations
• Preparation for reports on financial performance and prepare for regular management reviews
• Collaborating with finance leaders to provide insights that support the development and execution of the strategic initiatives
• Ensuring accurate and reliable financial data collection, and maintenance to support data-driven decision making
• Develop and maintain financial models that simulate various scenarios and assess the potential impact of strategic decisions
• Provide recommendations on forecast and projection
• Highlight risks on key areas and propose strategies to CFO on a timely basis
• Timely tracking and updating the CFO on projects progress
• Support the creation of standard and adhoc reports, dashboards and slides for board presentations
• Supporting the CFO in managing his busy schedule, facilitating communication, calendaring and handling administrative tasks
• Other adhoc projects may be required

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accountancy or a related field with minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
• Strong proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis and analytical skills
• Familiarity with ERP systems and financial software is an advantage
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly
• Detail-oriented mindset and the ability to work under tight deadlines
