NIE invites applications to join us as Assistant Manager / Manager to assist with academic administrative matters managed by the Office of Academic Administration and Services.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the entire process of admission and matriculation of students into initial teacher preparation, degree, and leadership programmes, and administer various admissions related assessments.
  • Serve as the secretariat to the Board of Studies, other governance boards, and meetings.
  • Administer various student records-related processes.
  • Prepare and submit student data and statistics.
  • Answer enquiries, appeals, and letters in a timely manner.
  • Participate in discussions, provide user requirements, conduct User Acceptance Tests, and implement enhancements to existing student systems and new systems.
  • Supervise and mentor supporting junior staff in crafting their goals and year plan to support the institution's goals, guide staff in their personal development and conducting appraisal to meet staff's career aspirations.
  • Support general administration needs of the unit.
  • Support departmental activities and carry out other tasks as assigned from time to time.


Requirements
  • A University degree.
  • At least 5 years of administrative experience, preferably in an education institution.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written English communication skills.
  • Proven ability to conceptualise, analyse, interpret data, and present information in reports.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in work.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
  • Able to stay calm under pressure and produce quality work.
  • Able to work independently and as a good team player.
  • Evidence of leadership in work teams is an advantage.
