Assistant Manager, Digital Technology and Analytics
The Office of Information, Knowledge, and Library Services (OIKLS) invites applications for the position of Assistant Manager, Digital Technology and Analytics. The incumbent will manage and maintain the Library Services Platform and Discovery solutions used by NTU Library. The solutions form a core set of library software that enables students, researchers, and faculty to search, retrieve, and access Library resources in support of learning and research at the University.

Responsibilities

System administration
  • Implement and manage end-user account provision, including annual review.
  • Monitor system integrations, process automations, system performance, availability, service level agreement compliance and usage of software functionalities.
  • Investigate any abnormality, irregularity or security risk and enforce the necessary remedial actions.
  • Plan and implement maintenance activities (preventive, corrective, predictive) to meet service level agreements, including communication and coordination with stakeholders.
  • Prepare quarterly management reports.

System configuration and low-code software scripting
  • Configure, maintain and document general system configurations, publishing configurations that enable discoverability of holdings in external systems, as well as configurations of catalogue views and associated services.
  • Establish, create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for system configurations and documentation for business teams.
  • Develop, maintain and document low-code software scripts for websites, systems integrations and process automations.


System review and continuous improvement
  • Gather feedback from end-users and business teams for product evaluation and renewals on an annual basis.
  • Recommend to Business Team Leads new product features and developments for testing or implementation.
  • Participate in periodic system review or transformation initiatives.


Requirements
  • Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent, from a recognized institution.
  • At least three years of experience with enterprise-level system administration, digital platforms, web applications or any other IT-related work.
  • Experience with IT Service Management, libraries, education, or academic research is an advantage.
  • Ability to learn new technologies with positive can-do attitude.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Able to work under pressure.
  • Good time management skill and ability to prioritize work well.
