The Centre of Excellence in International Trading (CEIT) aims to provide a well-qualified talent pipeline for and build a strong linkage between the university and the international trading industry. It is looking for a Senior Assistant Directory/ Deputy Director who will work closely with various parts of the university and the industry to achieve its goals.
The Senior Assistant Director / Deputy Director will: (1) work closely with various university departments and the industry to ensure that the undergraduate International Trading Programme (ITP) stays relevant to serve the needs of the industry, (2) ensure that industry partners are effectively engaged with the university, and (3) grow the quality and quantity of partnerships with the industry.
Concurrently, this role will also play a leadership role in the establishment and operations of the Singapore Carbon Markets Academy. With the support from EDB and ESG, the Singapore Carbon Markets Academy aspires to be Asia's top academy for carbon management education, with an emphasis on supporting Singapore's objective of becoming a Carbon Services and Trading Hub for Southeast Asia and the Asia Pacific region. This role leads the setup, launch and subsequent operation of the Academy, including engaging relevant stakeholders (e.g., EDB, ESG) and internal stakeholders (e.g., colleges and schools) on the establishment of the Academy, hiring staff to administer the Academy's day-to-day financial and operational operations, recruiting full-time faculty, engaging external partners to develop and deliver the suite of programmes, and establishing outreach activities and workshops.
For both centres, the Senior Assistant Director/ Deputy Director will need to build and maintain industry partnerships, while securing funds to ensure the two centres continue to be self-funding to ensure sustainability and fulfilment of the centre objectives.

The candidate should have:
- A good bachelor's degree and proven high quality academic achievements.
- At least 10 years of work experience, with extensive experience in partnership building, business development and management, prior relevant knowledge of carbon markets and industrial trading will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge and experience in business development and programme/operations management.
- Strong strategic thinking and possess an analytical mind.
- Excellent writing, communication and organizational skills.
- Confident and proactive with demonstrated dynamism and resourcefulness in problem solving.
- Ability to work with people of various levels and cultures, with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Good commercial understanding of the local marketplace, coupled with an ability to establish wide networks and strong relationships with management of different companies.
- Strong influencing skills, with a proven ability to provide pragmatic solutions.
- Ability to pro-actively identify and prioritize tasks and be able to escalate matters of significance while retaining the responsibility for them.
