Assistant Manager, Entrepreneurship Development Programmes
A research-intensive public university, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU Singapore) has 33,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students in the Engineering, Business, Science, Medicine, Humanities, Arts, & Social Sciences, and Graduate colleges. Sitting within NTU, NTU Entrepreneurship Academy (NTUpreneur) provides entrepreneurship education within the University and the region.

The Assistant Manager, Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) will execute the Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) of NTU Entrepreneurship Academy (NTUpreneur) to promote and market courses, recruit participants, coordinate instructors and mentors, and oversee outreach activities, timetabling, and other related matters, to ensure smooth operation of the programme, to delight participants and instructors with good operational and administration support for the programme, to delight participants and instructors with good operational and administration support for the programme. The incumbent will generate monthly reports to the Director of NTUpreneur, track expenses and cost to ensure business viability, without compromising the quality and the outcome of the programmes.

Responsibilities

1. Develop new CET courses and promote NTUpreneur's CET courses to attract participants
  • Strategically position NTU Entrepreneurship Academy's Entrepreneurship Development Programmes (EDP) in the marketplace, especially in China.
  • Collaborate with NTU faculty and industry practitioners to develop relevant courses and activities.
  • Mobilise internal stakeholders to design training programmes that meet funding and subsidy requirements.
  • Play an integral role in strategic planning and programme development.


2. Excellent programme delivery to ensure good learning experience
  • Oversee daily operations, including class and classroom management.
  • Attend to ad-hoc and urgent enquiry and help to solve problems when required.
  • Provide on-site support and serve as the primary contact point for programme participants.


3. Oversee EDP's marketing and publicity efforts and its execution
  • Create a marketing plan and strategies to target at the right audience effectively.
  • Design publicity materials according to the University's corporate guidelines.


4. Source for potential prospective corporate clients or individual participants to ensure continued growth of the programme
  • Actively engage in and provide insight in policy and operational discussions at a team level, where required.
  • Initiate in discussions with prospective corporate clients or individual participants.


5. Oversee instructors and mentors engagement
  • Increase the diversity of instructors and mentors
  • Arrange and coordinate with instructors and facilitate on-site operations where required.
  • Plan time-table schedule for staff and students.
  • Administer and compile instructors evaluations.


6. Strengthen corporate governance
  • Facilitate the planning of the annual budget exercise.
  • Set targets to ensure programme viability against cost of staff.
  • Track financial progress to ensure proposed financial targets are met.
  • Provide support in the annual audit exercise.


Requirements
  • Bachelor degree in any discipline
  • Knowledge in entrepreneurship and the start-up ecosystem
  • Knowledge and experience in running CET programmes
  • Knowledge in marketing and business development
  • Budget planning and revenue projection
  • Preferably with 3 to 5 years relevant work experience in educational programme management/ administration
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Experience in working with professors, government agencies and international organisations will be advantageous
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Capability to work independently to drive the execution of projects with the team
  • A comprehensive network of industry contacts, including government, large corporations, SMEs and the start-up community would be an advantage
  • Demonstrated resourcefulness, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to multitask efficiently, even under tight deadlines
  • Creative and ability to conceptualise and develop educational programmes that meet industry needs
  • Meticulous and eye for details in planning and organising programmes
  • Energetic and passionate about the business of executive education
