Assistant Manager, Assessments & Academic Programmes
The Office of Academic Services plays a key role in advancing the University's educational goals through implementing and administering the academic policies established by the University's academic body. We provide academic services for students from the time of their matriculation to their graduation.

This position will support the Assessment, Progression and Awards Team and assist the Academic Programme Teams within OAS. On one hand, the incumbent will play a vital role in managing processes from mark entry to marks processing, release of results and appeals for the PGC student population. Additionally, this role will contribute significantly to ensure the PGC programmes/courses to be set up and maintained accurately for smooth implementation.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and liaise closely with stakeholders on the assessment and progression related processes, including mark entry, mark processing process, dissertation records, release and review of results.
  • Handle course withdrawal process, student appeals, and special cases.
  • Administration of Medals & Prizes.
  • Manage degree conferment.
  • Prepare reports, handles data requests, and performs data analysis related to assessments.
  • Set up course details and curricula requirements in the centralised Course Management System.
  • Upkeep programme information, curricula requirements, and course details in Student Management System.
  • Support the academic administration of graduate programmes and initiatives.
  • Support and collaborate with internal stakeholders and IT developers on programme curriculum implementation.
  • Collaborate with various teams and CITS on system changes.
  • Support business process streamlining, designing of workflow, process automation and system enhancements.


Requirements
  • A recognised Degree with at least 4 years of relevant working experience in administration, preferably in academic services in a tertiary institution.
  • Proficient in office IT applications and Microsoft Office suite of application.
  • Possess working knowledge of database and process management.
  • Familiar with the Personal Data Protection Act, in relation to collection, use and disclosure of student personal data.
  • Working knowledge of SQL will be an added advantage.
  • Meticulous and organised.
  • Proactive, efficient and able to multi-task.
  • Able to work independently and be a good team player.
  • Good communication skills, able to express ideas clearly and concisely (written and oral).
  • Good interpersonal skills and able to collaborate with people at different levels of the organization.
  • Service-oriented mindset.
