Assistant Director, Digital Learning [LKCMedicine]
We are seeking an accomplished Assistant Director to join our Digital Learning team. The ideal candidate will be working closely with the Head, Digital Learning, stepping into a senior leadership position with an expanded scope of responsibilities. The primary focus will be to lead the planning, development, and execution of cutting-edge learning solutions within the realm of medical education. This role demands a seasoned professional capable of steering the team in crafting and delivering captivating digital educational content. Effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders is imperative to ensure the alignment of strategies with the evolving needs of our learners.

Responsibilities:

Curriculum Development
  • Lead the team to work with the curriculum and content expert team to craft digital learning curricula that meet the school and medical partners' criteria.
  • Manage and conduct in-depth research on skills mapping and perform training needs analysis to guide curriculum development.
  • Collaborate with University stakeholders to ensure alignment and implement contemporary content delivery methods.


Management of Training programs
  • Conceptualise and develop internal training programs for staff and students on Learning Management systems and e-learning authoring tools.
  • Conduct training sessions to impart knowledge on Learning Management systems and e-learning authoring tools to the staff and students.
  • Establish and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure consistent, high-quality training programme delivery.
  • Continously evaluate training effectiveness and drive improvements.


Strategic Planning
  • Develop strategies to drive digital learning objectives.
  • Provide advise and insights to the strategic planning process, offering recommendations on digital learning trends, resource allocation, and long-term goals.


Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Collaborate with senior management and academia to facilitate the planning, implementation and evaluation of training and development initiatives with the organisational objectives.


Leadership for learning design
  • Lead the learning design team and provide guidance and professional development opportunities to drive team success.
  • Facilitate and manage learning design activities within the team, fostering collaboration and efficient task execution.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Learning Technologies, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of working experience in the education sector or healthcare education sector.
  • 5+ years of experience in instructional design or learning development, with a focus on designing engaging learning experiences.
  • Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools (such as but not limited to Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate), LMS platforms, multimedia development, and learning analytics.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities, with demonstrated experience (3+ year) in leading and guiding a team of learning designers..
  • Proficiency in identifying knowledge gaps and developing effective learning strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Possesses a positive work ethic and derives satisfaction from collaborating with students.
