This position is part of a team at the University level to provide shared administrative support for faculty searches across Colleges. The objective is to enable the University to hire faculty on a timely basis.
The successful candidate will plan and monitor closely the status for each of the assigned faculty searches to ensure that the hiring timelines are met. He/She will support the School HR Business Partner in partnering with the Dean, Chair and School Search Committee to manage all activities of the faculty search at the College/School level, including the following:
Start a faculty search
Facilitate shortlisting and assessment of candidates
Facilitate review and approval of selected candidates

This is a 1-year contract position and only candidates who are comfortable with contract appointments should apply.
Hiring Institution: NTU
The successful candidate will plan and monitor closely the status for each of the assigned faculty searches to ensure that the hiring timelines are met. He/She will support the School HR Business Partner in partnering with the Dean, Chair and School Search Committee to manage all activities of the faculty search at the College/School level, including the following:
Start a faculty search
- Work with Dean and Chair to form and appoint School Search Committee (SSC)
- Seek approval on proposed expenses
- Draft Search Announcement/ Job Advertisement
- Advertise job on identified internal and external channels
Facilitate shortlisting and assessment of candidates
- Coordinate with shortlisted candidates to collate resumes and dossier
- Solicit references for shortlisted candidates
- Maintain a record of SSC's evaluation of all applicants
- Organise campus visits for top candidates
- Check through the search report submitted by the SSC and ensure that it addresses the requirements outlined in the policy
- Compile all documents required by the policy to be accompanied with the search report
Facilitate review and approval of selected candidates
- Draft reports for Chairs and Deans
- Facilitate to seek approval from Chair and Dean on the selected candidate
- Collate and submit the dossier and reports required for seeking University's approval on the selected candidate
Key Requirements
- Bachelor degree in any disciplines; Diploma holders will be considered based on merit of experience
- Experience in performing voluminous administrative tasks, including checking of documents and data for accuracy, drafting summary reports and ensuring compliance with policy and procedure
- Good communication skills
- Strong planning and organisation skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Good team player, meticulous with service-oriented mindset
