Assistant Manager, HR Partnering
In this role, you will be a junior HR advisor who builds strong partnerships with the senior leaders and the HR Centres of Excellence (COE) teams to develop and execute the People Strategies.

Our HR Business Partnering team is structured to offer our stakeholders close support in three clusters - namely the Schools/Colleges, Administrative and Research clusters. The candidate will report to a Senior HR Business Partner. Depending on the background/ seniority of the selected candidates, he/she will be assigned to support business units of varying sizes and complexity and may have a secondary reporting line to the School Chair/ Pan-University Research Centres.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in supporting stakeholders on the full spectrum of HR functions
  • Provide advice on HR policies and procedures including but not limited to the following areas - employment legislation, talent management, performance management, recruitment, manpower planning, rewards strategies and employee engagement
  • Partner HR Centre of Excellence in the delivery of all HR initiatives such as manpower planning and projection, budget planning, employee engagement surveys, people development programs, change management plans, performance management etc.
  • Provide advice to stakeholders on policy changes, collaborate with senior leaders and functional HR Centre of Excellence in the delivery of all HR initiatives such as manpower planning , budget planning, employee engagement surveys, people development programs, change management plans, performance management etc.
  • Supports the assigned unit in HR operations such as:
    • work closely with NTU's Shared Services team on the search for talents and appointment/re-appointment/ re-employment of staff on a timely basis
    • support onboarding and offboarding matters
    • plan and manage Promotion and Tenure and Lecturers & Practice Track Promotion Exercise


Requirements:
  • Degree with at least 4-6 years of relevant working experience in the Human Resources function
  • Good Knowledge of Employment Act and Labour Laws
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills with strong ability to engage and influence stakeholders at various levels
  • Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability according to changing needs and priorities
  • Collaborative and is comfortable working in a matrix structure with multiple priorities
  • Resourceful and possess strong initiative to drive changes
  • Ability to work independently as well as be active team members within and across the HR team.
