Assistant Manager, Faculty

The Assistant Manager plays an instrumental role in providing HR operational support to local Schools / Colleges (units) on Faculty Appointment, Reappointment, Promotion, Tenure and Exit Management processes in the University.

Responsibilities
  • Manage HR matters which include administering and processing the Appointment, Reappointment, Promotion & Tenure and Exit Management for Faculty in the assigned School
  • Provide HR operational and secretariat support to school level committees formed for the appointment, reappointment, promotion & tenure for Faculty
  • Provide HR advisory support on related processes and procedures
  • Ensure tasks and enquiries undertaken are resolved and completed in a timely manner in accordance with the service level agreements (SLA)
  • Improve processes and procedures to ensure high standards of service and work quality, efficiency and governance
  • Involve in coordinating activities in supporting University level meetings
  • Drive and/or participate in projects and process reviews
  • Collaborate and build good working relationships with stakeholders within the University
  • May be expected to manage a small team of 1 - 2 HR Officers


Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Human Resource, Social Sciences or Business related disciplines
  • Strong writing skills is essential
  • Good interpersonal, communication and organisation skills
  • Meticulous and a service-oriented mind-set
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Acrobat applications
  • Proficient in WorkDay is an advantage
