Senior Assistant Manager, Alumni Engagement
The Office of Alumni Engagement (OAE) nurtures meaningful relationships to foster loyalty, goodwill, and excellence in alumni engagement, aligned with NTU's goals.

OAE is seeking to hire a Senior Assistant Manager to support the development and implementation of activities to connect NTU with its alumni. The job purpose is to enhance alumni involvement and strengthen their affinity with NTU through engaging and informative webinars, insightful surveys, and immersive campus experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Online Community Engagement
  • Work with the Alumni Services team-lead and corporate communications team in developing and implementing an online community engagement strategy to promote active participation and meaningful interactions among alumni
  • Manage online community engagement platforms (including website and alumni portal)
  • Work closely with NTU CET units to ramp up enrolments for programmes
  • Manage and grow the alumni business directory


Mentoring Programme Development
  • Collaborate with the team, internal stakeholders and alumni groups to take stock of existing mentoring programmes, identify mentorship gaps and needs and develop programme framework, guidelines, and resources to support alumni-to-alumni mentoring
  • Manage the alumni mentoring programme and support the entire mentoring cycle from onboarding, and mentor-mentee check-ins to end-of-mentorship debrief
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of the mentoring programme through feedback collection, surveys, and/or other assessment methods, and make data-driven recommendations for improvement


Alumni Surveys
  • Administration of annual or biennial alumni surveys including survey publicity to gather alumni feedback and insights on their experiences, preferences and needs


Alumni Outreach and Other Projects
  • Support development and implementation publicity campaigns to promote assigned programmes and events
  • Work with the team in the execution of major or signature alumni events by the Office of Alumni Engagement
  • Coordinate day-to-day enquiry channels and support data/ report requests from Management
  • Organise stakeholder feedback and focus groups (volunteers, general alumni, other departments/schools)


Key Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., communications, marketing, business, or a relevant social science discipline)
  • Proven experience in managing and executing webinars, surveys, and engagement programmes, preferably in an alumni relations or higher education setting
  • Possess minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in events, community, or professional network engagement, and/or stakeholder relations


Key Skills & Competencies
  • Proficiency in using webinar platforms (e.g., Zoom, MS Teams), and survey tools or software
  • Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and connect with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Knowledge of alumni relations and an understanding of the higher education landscape is an advantage
  • Resourceful, strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to details
  • Proficiency in Mandarin and English is required to handle queries from local and overseas alumni, especially those based in China
