Assistant Manager, Business Development (Continuing Education and Training)
Key Job Purpose:

NTU College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences (CoHASS) is a union of four Schools and two Centres - the School of Art, Design and Media (ADM), the School of Humanities (SoH), the School of Social Sciences (SSS), the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information (WKWSCI), the Nanyang Centre for Public Administration (NCPA) and the Centre for Contemporary Art (CCA). We are currently home to more than 6,000 students, as well as faculty, research and administrative staff.

The incumbent will work closely with the Senior Assistant Director, as well as the Professional & Continuing Education (PaCE) to achieve the Continuing Education (CE) goals and operational excellence for CoHASS. This involves understanding the lifelong learning market trend, government Continuing Education (CE) initiatives, and the University's CE mission and strategic goals and objectives to promote lifelong learning to its alumni, the industry, and the general community.

The incumbent is expected to manage all sales and marketing inquiries and leads generated from online, digital, mobile, roadshow/onsite/campus campaigns and info-sessions. An experienced and hands-on telesales lead who is meticulous in the leads management process, familiar with database management, excel, and using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) as tracking and reporting tools will thrive in this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interface between College and Schools to harmonise the outreach strategies, implementation plans, and efforts and support the Schools in their outreach
  • Manage upstream activity, including attending to all leads generated from sales and marketing campaigns and inquiries, drive lead conversion and reporting. Work with Professional & Continuing Education (PaCE) to support queries pertaining to operational matters
  • Work closely with internal teams to execute sales and marketing activities to promote College capabilities and demand generation programs through on and offline campaigns, events, media releases, case studies, or websites
  • Manage downstream activity, including working with PaCE Operation Team to ensure smooth delivery of courses and learner's journey and experience management
  • Oversee the whole process of managing and responding to enquires, constantly engage them with regular updates of the programmes available, and eventually work towards the goal of having them sign up for the programmes
  • Support in formulating sales and marketing tactics in line with the college's priority, and business objectives


Competencies and Qualification Requirements:

  • Degree in Business Management/ Marketing/ Mass Communication from a recognized university
  • Knowledge on Search Engine Optimization (SEO) / website design/ Electronic Direct Mail (EDM) will be an added advantage
  • Familiar/ well versed in using Customer Relationship Management (CRM)/ database management tools for tracking of leads, enquiries, and reporting purpose
  • Possess minimum 5 years of inbound and outbound sales experiences
  • Experience in hunting and farming sales in the Higher Education landscape. Professional services, and Consultative sales experience will be considered
  • Proven ability to convert leads into sales, demonstrated success from the funnel and lead management to close sales (registered + fee paid), and work with the sales operations/delivery teams to hand over the customer
  • Experience in implementing sales and marketing tactics, support proposal development, monitor, review and report on progress
  • Proficient in photo and video editing & tools
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills that are persuasive, influential and compelling
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities with competing deadlines
