Assistant Manager, Academic

To augment our manpower resources in the School, we are seeking for an experienced professional to join the Academic Team as Assistant Manager. Reporting to the Assistant Director, the incumbent shall support the end-to-end administration of the Undergraduate programmes and ensure quality services for students and faculty in the school.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate the delivery of student and academic services for the Undergraduate programme.
  • Oversees the planning and monitors student admission progress to ensure timeliness of the admission process.
  • Coordinate interviews and liaise with various stakeholders for the processing and monitoring of applications, admissions, and scholarships outcomes.
  • Manage the administration of the Undergraduate programme including timetabling, course registration, examination matters, curriculum administration, new course proposal submission, budgeting and advisory on student academic matters.
  • Manage the Undergraduate programme's operations including addressing queries from students and faculty, booking of teaching facilities, administration of student feedback on teaching, engagement of instructors, student awards shortlisting and administration, academic misconduct, and maintaining of student records.
  • Coordinate students' local or overseas internship matters, appointment of internship supervisors, working with CAO to manage disputes between students and internship organisations.
  • Provide advisory to students on exchange, course matching and credit transfer issues.
  • Oversee the implementation of scholarship and travel grants for students going on exchange.
  • Collation of statistics and data required for management reporting.


Requirements:
  • A good Bachelor degree in any discipline, preferably with at least 5 years' experience in programme management.
  • Good to have knowledge on academic matters, academic policies, project management and business / data analytics..
  • Prior experience working in institutions of higher learning is preferable.
  • Strong administrative skills, meticulous with analytic and problem-solving skills and a keen eye for details.
  • Good interpersonal and people management skills.
  • A strong collaborator - ability to work well in within the team and with key stakeholders.
  • Positive attitude with customer-service orientation.
  • Excellent organisational, time management and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks in an efficient, effective, and timely manner.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and IT savvy.
