About the Role

We are seeking a driven and commercially astute professional to join our Strategic Procurement - Medical Technology team. This role goes beyond transactional purchasing to shape long-term value creation, drive innovation, and influence how medical equipment is sourced and managed nationally.

We are particularly looking for candidates with technical sales experience in MedTech, or a background in Application Sales, Field Service, or Biomedical Engineering within MRI, Ultrasound, diagnostics, or imaging clinics, with at least 5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Sourcing
• Develop and implement comprehensive category strategies for medical equipment across Singapore healthcare system.
• Vendor Management
• Collaborate with vendors to optimize performance in cost, quality, and delivery.
• Market Analysis
• Conduct horizon scanning and benchmarking of the medical technology landscape to identify trends, innovations, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Stakeholder Engagement
• Engage clinical and nursing champions, biomedical engineers, and institutional stakeholders to gather technical requirements and support product evaluations.
• RFP Management
• Lead preparation and execution of RFP processes, including supplier evaluation and selection.
• Supplier Negotiation & Selection
• Analyze total cost of ownership and drive commercial negotiations to secure best value outcomes.
• Compliance & Governance
• Ensure adherence to procurement policies and relevant regulatory frameworks.
• Contract Negotiation
• Lead and support contract negotiations to secure favorable terms aligned with organizational objectives.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in:
• Technical sales in Medical Technology (MedTech), OR
• Application Sales, Field Service, or Biomedical Engineering roles in MRI, Ultrasound, diagnostics, or imaging environments.
• Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Biomedical Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Strong technical knowledge of medical equipment and healthcare environments.
• Advanced analytical and negotiation skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and Excel; familiarity with SAP is an advantage.
• Positive, collaborative, and adaptable mindset with strong stakeholder management capabilities.
