As a Truck Sales Market Manager, you will be responsible for leading, executing and monitoring of sales strategies within assigned markets to achieve targeted volume and revenue objectives. This role requires a self-motivated and highly driven individual with strategic thinking to engage business partners to drive market growth. You are to provide strategic guidance and operational support to GDs/TOCs in sales planning, execution, and performance control to enhance overall sales effectiveness and market growth.

Your main responsibilities will include the following:

1.\t TOC/GD Sales Performance Management
  • Develop, implement, and monitor sales strategies to achieve volume and revenue targets for SEA markets.
  • Set quantitative and qualitative sales targets, guide and consult distributors on sales operations (planning, execution, and control) to enhance performance.
  • Collect, monitor, and report monthly sales performance metrics.
  • Analyze competitor pricing and product developments to support share-of-market (SoM) growth.
  • Steer distributor ordering and inventory to maintain healthy stock levels.
  • Plan and execute annual marketing and CRM activities with distributors (e.g., product launches, promotions, trade shows).


2.\tFleet Customer / Bodybuilder Management
  • Provide consultation and configure vehicle specifications to meet customer and bodybuilder requirements.
  • Engage regularly with bodybuilders, strategic fleet customers, and the CSP team to strengthen partnerships, collaboration and explore future trends
  • Coordinate with distributor fleet sales teams for unified fleet account management.


3.\tPricing Management and Product Consultation/Configuration
  • Develop and manage pricing plans and activities to support market competitiveness and revenue goals, including collaborating with distributors for special pricing requests and tender submission.
  • Analyze competitor pricing and product developments to drive share-of-market (SoM) growth, proper price positioning and contribution margin for truck products.
  • Liaise with different stakeholders and provide product consultation and vehicle configuration to optimize performance and TCO.
  • Support vehicle homologation activities to ensure product compliance in responsible markets.


4.\tLong-term Strategy & Market-related Project Management
  • Support in the implement strategic projects to support the transition to sustainable transportation and drive market growth along with the team.
  • Maintain long-term partnership with distributors for sustainable and profitable development.
  • Identify business opportunities aligned with evolving government policies and regulations.
  • Manage market-specific projects to address local challenges and strategic needs.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to support end-to-end project execution.


5.\tCompliance & Others
  • Work with cross-functions to resolve technical issues and optimize part pricing, aiming for maximum vehicle uptime and optimal TCO for MB Truck operations.
  • Ensure all sales processes comply with ICS standards and internal guidelines, and effectively maintain the compliance measures.
  • Promote a sustainable environment of compliance and integrity by identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks.
  • Adhere to all Daimler Truck rules, regulations, guidelines, and work agreements.


And any other suitable tasks assigned.

Job Requirements
  • Possess at least a Tertiary degree in Engineering (Preferably Mechanical / Electrical/ Mechatronic or Automotive)
  • At least 5 years' experience in automotive industry especially Heavy Duty Truck & Bus
  • Good knowledge of Southeast Asia automotive business, market and product knowledge especially on Trucks Industry
  • Strong Experience in Marketing research and analysis
  • Solid technical knowledge in Vehicle configuration to meet customer demand & optimize Total Costs of Ownership (TCO)
  • Experience in Bodybuilder and Key Account management, Fleet/Specialized vehicle tenders
  • Experience in Vehicle Homologation
  • Good level of self-confidence, able to work independently
  • Good interpersonal skills, high team-work spirit
  • Good skills in communication and customer relationship management
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office suites (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Willingness to Travel
