Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repairs, planned maintenance and supervision jobs on board Penguin's fleet.

• Manage all technical matters and ensure that safety is regarded as a primary responsibility.

• Plan, coordinate and execute inspections, dry dockings, lay-up of vessels.

• Follow up closely on performance of all vessels, monitor major deficiencies/defects that exist in the vessels and ensure that timely corrective actions are taken in order that the vessels performance and safety is not jeopardized.

• To ensure that all technical reports as required by various principals are timely dispatched.

• To verify all incoming reports from the vessels and identify areas which require immediate attention and take corrective actions.

• To report system non-conformities and verify that correction and preventive actions are implemented and found effective.

• High vessel availability and reliability

• Ensure full compliance with safety and environmental standards

• To optimize lifecycle costs for aluminium hulls and electric propulsion, and

• Make continuous improvement in safety, efficiency, and sustainability

Requirements and skills

• Candidates should possess a tertiary education, with three to five years' experience in a similar capacity in the marine industry.

• A can-do pro-active attitude and a team player.
