The Communications and Marketing Assistant Manager will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive communication and marketing strategies that support the goals and mission of Habitat for Humanity Singapore.

He/She is responsible for all aspects of internal and external communications, branding, media relations, public outreach and advocacy to promote the organisation's work, build its brand, and maintain strong relationships with various stakeholders.

Job Scope:

• Develop and lead integrated communications and marketing strategies that strengthen Habitat for Humanity Singapore's brand, visibility, and mission impact.

• Create and execute a comprehensive communications roadmap covering brand building, media relations, digital and social media, fundraising support, volunteer engagement, special events, advocacy, and crisis communications.

• Serve as the organisation's spokesperson to engage and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including donors, partners, government agencies, corporations, educational institutions, faith-based groups, volunteers, beneficiaries, and the public.

• Partner with the Resource Development (RD) team to develop strategic, consistent, and relationship-driven communications for fundraising campaigns, donor relations, grants, proposals and reports.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive a strong strategy that enhances brand image and credibility, awareness campaigns, partnerships, and fundraising initiatives in line with organisational goals.

• Oversee all branding, content creation, web and social media activities across platforms, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines, including Employer Brand and Employee Value Proposition.

• Manage media relations, including queries, features, and interview coordination.

• Lead communications and publicity efforts for volunteer opportunities, events, and campaigns, including all EDMs, marketing collateral and copywriting.

• Identify volunteer and beneficiary profiles for impactful storytelling, in line with Habitat brand narrative and safeguarding policies.

• Oversee production of the Annual Report in accordance with Charity Transparency Framework.

• Maintain the organisation's website and digital media channels.

• Manage departmental administration, documentation, and serve as the liaison with HFH Singapore, HFH AP, and HFHI.

• Implement a quality assurance framework to ensure communications uphold organisational values, professional standards, and public policies.

• Develop and implement the Employer Brand (Employee Value Proposition) with HR to strengthen talent attraction.

• Continuously evaluate communication effectiveness, gather stakeholder feedback, and use data-driven insights to refine strategies.

• Undertake any other duties or projects assigned by the National Director

A successful candidate would be someone who:

• Education: Tertiary qualification in Mass Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related discipline.

• Experience: At least 3 years of experience in communications and marketing; experience in the social service sector is an advantage.

• Ability to logically analyse information, break down complex issues, and view problems from multiple perspectives.

• Strong written and verbal English proficiency, with excellent copywriting and editing skills. Able to communicate clearly, confidently, and with presence, ensuring clarity and alignment across stakeholders. Proficiency in other local languages/dialects is highly advantageous.

• Effective use of digital tools and technologies to enhance efficiency. Working knowledge of content management systems, and digital graphics production.

• Able to deliver information clearly and engagingly to diverse audiences.

• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to plan, coordinate, multitask, and manage projects effectively.
