Job Description:
The Accounting and Administrative Assistant will play a key supporting role in the financial
management , ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting
standards, and efficient administrative operations. This role involves managing day-to-day accounting activities, preparing financial reports, maintaining compliance with statutory requirements, and coordinating administrative functions to support smooth and organized business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting Functions:
• Manage daily accounting operations, including sales and purchases postings, intercompany
transactions, and general ledger entries.
• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
• Maintain accurate financial records and assist with financial statement reconciliation.
• Prepare and maintain quarterly balance sheet schedules, including Fixed Asset Register,
prepayment schedule, loan schedule and lease schedules.
• Assist with tax submissions and other accounting-related tasks.Administrative Functions:
• Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records to ensure organized record keeping.
• Support management in policy implementation and process improvement initiatives.
• Provide administrative support to assist in decision-making.
• Perform other ad-hoc administrative duties as assigned.
Treasury Functions:
• Handle invoicing, billing, and payment processing.
• Assist in the preparation of the annual budget, as well as monthly and quarterly forecasts.
Compliance and Audit:
• Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards and regulations.
• Support annual audits and liaise with external auditors.
• Maintain strong internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure financial accuracy.

Requirements:
• Minimum of 1 years of relevant accounting experience post-qualification, preferably in a
group or multinational environment
• Experience in the preparation of a full set of accounts
• Good knowledge of IFRS
• Proficiency in accounting software (preferably Xero but not required) and Microsoft Office,
particularly Excel
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Fluency in English (both written and spoken)
Preferences:
• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent)
