ABOUT THE ROLE
Responsible for delivery of Application Services for Mizuho Bank, Singapore Branch ("MHBKSG"). Drive technical strategy, systems resiliency and security, and align development efforts with SGAD IT strategic plan. As Senior Developer, will also need to lead a team of developers to achieve these results. Partners with intragroup and 3rd-party providers to deliver resilient applications services to MHBKSG and other business and functional units that MHBKSG supports.

All responsibilities shall be carried out in accordance with MHBKSG Code of Conduct, Values and Guiding Principles.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Managerial Excellence
  • Lead and create a high-performing software/data engineering team in a diverse workplace.
  • Ensure that employees understand the goals, embrace the values, and support and reinforce the expected behaviors that contribute to the success of the bank.
  • Support team members to deliver application services successfully and sustainably and keep them focused on the business priorities and values creation.
  • Promote a mindset for agility, sustained success, growth, and diversity.

Project Planning & Delivery
  • Provide leadership/counsel in establishing and implementing projects, standards, guidelines, and best practices for software/data engineering solutions.
  • Lead and contribute to the definition of systems architecture required to achieve business goals, and ensure resiliency and consistency of technology solutions.
  • Deliver application services sustainably, complying with enterprise IT controls and applicable regulations, specifically Monetary Authority of Singapore ("MAS").

Strategic Planning
  • Create forward-looking operating and work plans aligned to business and IT priorities.
  • Prudently manage and optimize technology investments for the best possible ROI.
  • Support & develop technology modernization & cloud enablement, while continue to improve resiliency and automation of the legacy systems.
  • Uplift team members experience with modern software/data engineering capabilities.
  • Leverage strengths in unit, department, and enterprise to create solutions.

Relationships & Communication
  • Partner and collaborate across the organization to deliver technology to the business.
  • Influence and drive strategic technical decisions, aligning with business goals.
  • Provide timely management reporting and updates on all material issues.
  • Manage relationships with intragroup and 3rd party providers.


Job Requirements :

Education
  • Tertiary degree in technology or equivalent in Computer Engineering from a recognized educational institution.

Experience
  • At least 8 years of Application Service delivery / development experience.
  • Hands-on/in-depth experience implementing and integrating medium/large-scale technology solutions.
  • Familiar with MAS technology risk and outsourcing notices.

Skills
  • Full stack modern software and data engineering.
  • Experience with public cloud (prefer Azure).
  • Understand "big picture" and communicate vision and goals with passion.
  • Collaborate across organization, and with intragroup and external providers to solve complex problems creatively.
  • Excellent oral and written skills in English.
