Role Overview

SFIC is seeking a resourceful and detail-oriented Industry Development Assistant Manager to strengthen our industry development and internationalisation efforts. This role involves organising tradeshows, administering Enterprise Singapore (EnterpriseSG) funding, managing strategic member engagement, and developing opportunities in key sourcing and manufacturing markets.

Key Responsibilities

Tradeshow & Mission Organisation
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute participation in international and regional tradeshows, including logistics, booth design, and exhibitor coordination
  • Administer EnterpriseSG's LEAD International Fairs & Missions (LEAD IFM) and other relevant grants, ensuring accurate submissions, claims processing, and compliance
  • Work closely with members and partners to drive meaningful participation in overseas missions and exhibitions
  • Support market exploration and outreach trips, with a focus on business matching, factory visits

Industry & Member Engagement
  • Serve as a key liaison between SFIC and its members at international and regional tradeshows and missions
  • Lead onboarding and develop sustained engagement touchpoints for members participating in global markets
  • Monitor and evaluate member needs and regional trends to inform SFIC's programming and advocacy

Market Development & Strategic Insights
  • Provide strategic support for members looking to expand into or source SFIC identified markets
  • Stay updated on industry and economic trends in key markets
  • Develop partnerships with trade agencies, overseas business councils, and in-market facilitators

Ideal Candidate
  • 3+ years of experience in organising tradeshows and/or trade missions, ideally for associations, government agencies, or industry players
  • Hands-on experience in administering EnterpriseSG's LEAD IFM or other government funding schemes
  • Strong understanding of markets, with exposure to sourcing/manufacturing dynamics and business culture
  • Excellent organisational, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Comfortable working across borders and industries with a global mindset
  • Proficient in written and spoken English; knowledge of Mandarin is a bonus
