Assistant Manager - IT Automation

You will be managing IT automation platforms to ensure secure and reliable operations while collaborating across departments to support business needs and drive technological innovation.

Responsibilities:

• Design and Manage IT Automation Infrastructure: Oversee the design, implementation and maintenance of IT automation systems including servers, networks, firewalls and storage.
• Ensure System Availability & Disaster Recovery: Maintain 24/7 uptime and readiness for disaster recovery across plant IT systems and server room operations.
• Compliance & Cybersecurity: Ensure systems meet pharmaceutical industry regulations (e.g. GxP) and enforce cybersecurity policies and standards.
• System Monitoring & Issue Resolution: Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues promptly and coordinate system upgrades and patching as per change control procedures.
• Audit Support & Documentation: Provide technical documentations and support audits for validation and compliance purposes.
• Vendor & Asset Management: Manage external vendors and oversee procurement, contracts and lifecycle of IT automation assets and services.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Engineering, Quality and Manufacturing teams to support production, lab and critical business systems.
• Lead Projects & Drive Innovation: Manage IT automation projects, allocate resources and support digital transformation and technology transitions.

Requirements:

• Educational Background: Degree in IT, Computer Science/Engineering or related field - professional certifications (e.g. CISSP, ITIL, PMP, etc.) would be an added advantage.
• Industry Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience in managing IT automation platforms within pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing environments.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of GxP, Computer System Validation (CSV) and Data Integrity compliance standards.
• System Expertise: Familiarity with key enterprise systems such as MES, LIMS, QMS and ERP.
• Technical Proficiency: Skilled in IT infrastructure including networks, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), storage, backup, cybersecurity and cloud technologies.
