Required qualifications (experiences, qualifications, language skills):
- Responsible for preparing long and short term financial plans, budgets while coordinating with head quarter in Japan and presenting to headquarter (spoken and written communications in Japanese).
- Process financial closing andt report to headquarter in Japan for consolidation purpose (spoken and written communications in Japanese).
- Manage and comply financial related policy in head quarter, to achieve business objectives as Group,by coordinating with headquarter in Japan (spoken and written communications in Japanese).
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the Finance & Accounting and Credit department and provide commercial and financial advice to the business.
- Liaise with auditors, lawyers, tax advisers, bankers and shareholders; attend meetings and represent the company, in Japanese when necessary.
- Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce analysis reports or statements, explain to necessary stakeholders (including headquarter in Japan)
- Liaise and coordinate for the transfer pricing work to ensure the completion of TP documentation and support advance pricing agreement between MC group companies with tax advisors.
- Credit Reviews on current and new counterparties, set credit limits for business partners while operating the internal rating system and credit management system
- Advise and support the commercials to ensure credit risk is mitigated for the tenor of each deal including KYC Process on current and new counterparties, Checking against sanctioned lists, Counterparties registration.
- Collaborate with Division Heads, General Managers, Managers and various business stakeholders in a constructive manner to enhance risk management function and create synergy for the company
- Lead and coach team members to improve their functional competencies and to take care of their well-being
- Support CFO and to act as go-between between senior leaders and junior members and escalating high risk cases to senior members of the team.
Required qualifications (experiences, qualifications, language skills):
- Excellent spoken and written skills both in Japanese and English to prepare documentation for and to liaise with external stakeholders including head quarter in Japan.
- Ability to work well in a diverse cross-cultural organization, and handle a fast-paced trading/market environment.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in accounting, tax and finance.
- Bachelor's degree (such as Accounting, Finance, Quantitative Finance, Business, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science and Engineering). Professionalqualification such as CPA, CA, is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem solving abilities, excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Solid understanding of Energy Trading, including Incoterms, Formula Pricing, Futures, Forward, and Spot markets, Forward Curves, Price Reporting Agencies (e.g. Platts, Argus), OTC Derivatives, OTC Brokers, Exchanges (e.g. Nymex, ICE, DME, etc).
- Solid understanding of credit support.
- Attention to details with strong process execution focus
- Self-starter and proactive to build processes
