Accounting / AuditingWe are seeking a meticulous and self-driven Finance & Accounting professional to join our team. You will be responsible for managing full-spectrum accounting functions, overseeing payroll, supporting audits and reporting, maintaining investment and asset records, and ensuring compliance with SFRS and charity regulations.
Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
• Review and update the standard of operating procedure (SOP) for financial reporting and budgeting promptly.
• Oversee day-to-day financial operations and ensure accuracy in QuickBooks.
• Support grants applications and fundraising accounting.
• Perform payroll and CPF submissions checking, and monthly/yearly reconciliations to ensure arithmetic accuracy.
• Maintain and review accounts receivable, payable, prepayments, accruals, and detailed records of assets, investments, and audit schedules.
• Draft and prepare financial statements, management accounts and reports for board meetings, and perform statutory submissions (e.g., GST, IRAS, donation accounts)
• Liaise with Investment Committee Members to facilitate the interpretation of investments and to invest in a wide range of investments with different degrees of risk and levels of returns.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors to facilitate the audit processes.
• Draft the annual audited financial statements for the company in accordance with the Singapore Financial Reporting Standards.
• Prepare financial statements for fundraising events in compliance with Singapore charity regulations.
• Review the full set of accounts of Company's subsidiary.
• Ad hoc duties as assigned by the management.
Requirements
• At least 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience.
• A meticulous and self-motivated individual who takes initiative, works well under pressure, and handles confidential information with discretion.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively liaise and collaborate with different departments, skilled in managing team morale, and attentive to the fair demands and well-being of team members.
• High integrity, attention to detail, and ability to respond effectively to various unexpected situations.
• Strong oral and written skills in bilingualism (English and Mandarin) are a must to handle queries and feedbacks from clients regarding the financial statements and other accounting matters.
• Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
• Familiar with Singapore Financial Reporting Standard (SFRS), best practices and other relevant rules and regulations.
Educational Qualifications
• At Least a Bachelor's Degree / Post-Graduate Diploma / ACCA / ISCA Professional Level / Professional Degree in Finance / Accountancy or Equivalent.
