Job Description:

Our client is a fast-growing software application startup providing innovative SaaS solutions to enterprise clients across Asia. With a growing team in Singapore and Hong Kong, they are looking to hire a hands-on and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to strengthen their finance operations and support regional growth. As Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, and supporting financial planning and compliance across Singapore and Hong Kong entities. You will also collaborate closely with external partners, auditors, and internal stakeholders to streamline finance processes in a startup environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage full sets of accounts for Singapore and Hong Kong entities, including GL, AR, AP, and month-end closing.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with local accounting standards (SFRS/HKFRS).
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for management reporting.
• Handle GST/VAT filings, corporate tax computations, and liaise with tax consultants.
• Coordinate year-end audit processes and manage external audit relationships.
• Ensure timely reconciliation of bank accounts, intercompany balances, and expense claims.
• Improve accounting systems and processes to support scalability and operational efficiency.
• Assist with financial due diligence, grant applications, and investor reporting where needed.

Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA/ACCA qualification preferred.
• At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally with exposure to startups, tech, or SaaS industries.
• Proficient in accounting systems (e.g., Xero, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore and Hong Kong financial regulations and tax compliance.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work across functions and cultures.
