1) Responsible for all accounts related matters.
2) Responsible for all Industries and Holding company accounts.
3) Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements at all times.
4) Ensure that all regulatory submissions (e.g.: GST submission, corporate tax filing, etc) is done timely and accurately.
5) Lead and coordinate yearly external audits and liase with auditors for statutory reporting for both Industries and Holding to ensure that submission is on time. Respond to audit findings and implement corrective actions.
6) Responsible for the smooth day-to-day AR / AP operations of the company.
7) Responsible for the finance and credit control functions of the company.
8) Responsible for developing and manging budgets, forecasts and financial projections for the company.
9) Responsible for analysing financial data and provide information to support business decisions.
10) Responsible for all accounts related system such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC), Docuware, etc, with support from IT vendor.
11) To check and review all accounts related SOP, ensure they are up-to-date, reflect current practices, and comply with relevant regulations.
12) Implement and maintain strong internal controls and financial processes.
13) Review performance of subsidiary companies.
14) Ensure that all Accounting operations comply to the code of ethics, integrity & statutory requirements.
15) Lead and manage Accounts team (e.g.: guidance, training, leave approval, planning and assigning daily work, addressing performance issues and resolving problem, etc).
16) Responsible for covering duties for all staff in Accounts team.
17) Maintain and implement continuous improvement for Accounts team.
18) Assist in ISO-related audits, whenever required.
19) Prepare and present the relevant reports for management.
20) Any other area of responsibilities that the company deems necessary.
Competency requirements
1) Degree in Accounting, Finance, LCCI or equivalent.
2) Full set of accounts.
3) Minimum 3-5 years of relevant Accounting experience.
4) Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC) or NAV accounts module proficiency will be an added advantage.
5) Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
