Objectives of the Position:

Reporting administratively and operationally to the Financial Controller of SEA, the Accountant supports the MD and Financial Controller of SEA in on-going finance and accounting work to ensure proper preparation of accounting books and reliable presentation of financial statements in accordance with the company and group's policies. The Accountant will ensure full compliance with audit, tax and other statutory requirements as well as to ensure effective operational process controls and adjustments are aligned with corporate requirements and policies.

Responsibilities:

Manage Month end, Quarter end and Year-end Closing & Reporting

Responsible for general accounting transactions performed and support the hub to close the books and report according to pre-determined schedule. Ensure that financial impact and reporting requirements of key business activities are being evaluated and informed to the hub for processing. Ensure audit requirements are fully met and closed on a timely basis.

Manage end-to-end processes

Support end-to-end request/transaction process together with local stakeholders and the hub. Provide insight to resolve operational problems, issues and queries. Initiate optimization and ensure effectiveness and efficiency of end-to-end processes while maintaining adequate internal controls.

Compliance with regulations and corporate financial accounting & reporting guidelines

Liaise and work closely with internal and external auditors, relevant company personnel, tax advisors and relevant local authorities to understand and ensure the company's financial policies/procedures/practices fully meet the relevant requirements.

Job Requirements:

- Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree and/or qualified CPA (Certified Public Accountant)

- At least 3 years of experience in relevant Finance role

- Analytical, meticulous, self-motivated, independent and a good team player

- Understand internal controls, system and process

IFRS and local GAAP knowledge
