Our client in the financial services sector is currently looking for a 1-year contract accountant to join their dynamic team.

The Role

The role involves ensuring timely financial and regulatory reporting for legal entities in compliance with local and US GAAP, while maintaining strong financial controls. Key responsibilities include accounts payable processing, invoicing affiliates and third parties, bank administration, and treasury management to optimize cash flow and forecasts. The position also supports the Tax Department by managing tax journal entries, inputting data into systems, and providing financial information for tax-related requests. Acting as the Finance Department liaison with banks, vendors, auditors, and tax agents, the role also includes contributions to ad hoc projects and initiatives as needed.

Your Profile

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and has at least 3 years of hands-on experience in finance operations, preferably within a multinational corporation. A strong technical accounting background and knowledge of regulatory requirements are essential, with CPA or Chartered Accountancy qualifications considered a plus. Proficiency in Oracle, financial applications, and MS Office is required. The candidate should possess excellent communication skills for liaising with business partners, be proactive, and demonstrate the ability to work independently while thriving in a team environment.
