Job Summary

We are a fast-growing shipping and investment management group seeking an accounting professional to manage full-set accounting, general ledger, and financial reporting. This key development role offers exposure to group financial management, fund planning, banking, financing, cash management, investment oversight, and corporate governance.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-set accounting and general ledger processes to ensure accurate and timely financial records.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements that support strategic management decisions.
• Perform detailed financial analysis to provide actionable insights for business planning and performance improvement.
• Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, expenses, fixed assets, depreciation, and accruals to maintain financial integrity.
• Assist in cash flow planning and execute daily fund management to optimize liquidity and operational efficiency.
• Manage bank accounts, process payments, perform reconciliations, and maintain effective communication with banking partners.
• Support the preparation of financing documentation and coordinate with banks to facilitate funding activities.
• Coordinate with external auditors to ensure smooth statutory audit processes and compliance.
• Prepare or assist with corporate tax (CIT) and Goods and Services Tax (GST) filings in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Ensure compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and relevant statutory regulations.
• Support group-level financial oversight and consolidation to provide comprehensive financial visibility across entities.
• Monitor financial performance of domestic and international investment companies to inform investment decisions.
• Assist with financial analysis and management of investment projects to drive value creation.
• Participate in initiatives to enhance internal controls and corporate governance frameworks.

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 4-8 years of accounting or finance experience in Singapore.
• Experience in group finance management and/or the shipping industry are preferred.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, Oracle, or similar systems.
• Strong Excel skills and demonstrated capability in financial analysis.
• Knowledge of Singapore tax regulations including Corporate Income Tax (CIT) and GST.
• Logical, analytical mindset with a strong ability to learn quickly.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills within team environments.
• Strong sense of responsibility, rigor, and ability to perform under pressure.
• Ambition to develop into finance management and group finance leadership roles.
