Job Summary:

The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of financial and accounting functions for a TCM and wellness business. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and effective financial control while supporting business operations such as outlet performance tracking, therapist commission management, and service revenue analysis. The Accounting Manager plays a key role in maintaining financial discipline and supporting the company's growth and service excellence objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management & Reporting

• Oversee full set of accounts including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, profit and loss reports by outlet, and consolidated financial statements.
• Monitor daily revenue collections from multiple outlets, including POS system reconciliation and payment platform settlements.
• Manage cash flow, budgeting, and financial forecasting to support business expansion and operational needs.
• Analyse revenue streams including treatment services, retail products, packages, memberships, and promotional campaigns.

Industry-Specific Financial Oversight

• Manage therapist commission calculations, incentive schemes, and performance-based remuneration structures.
• Monitor prepaid treatment packages, package utilisation tracking, and deferred revenue accounting.
• Oversee inventory accounting for wellness products, herbal remedies, and retail merchandise.
• Track outlet operational costs including manpower, rental, consumables, and equipment maintenance.

Compliance & Regulatory

• Ensure compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), and statutory requirements.
• Prepare and submit corporate tax schedules, and regulatory submissions.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretaries, and regulatory authorities.
• Ensure proper documentation and compliance with healthcare and wellness industry financial regulations where applicable.

Operational Control & Process Improvement

• Implement and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures across all outlets.
• Review POS systems, accounting software integration, and financial reporting automation to improve operational efficiency.
• Monitor financial transaction accuracy and detect discrepancies or irregularities.
• Develop cost control measures to enhance profitability while maintaining service quality.

Team Leadership & Training

• Supervise accounting staff and ensure accurate and timely completion of financial tasks.
• Provide training and guidance to outlet managers on financial procedures, revenue reporting, and expense controls.
• Collaborate with operations and HR teams on payroll, commission, and manpower cost management.

Business Strategy & Support

• Provide financial insights to support business decisions including outlet expansion, service pricing, and promotional strategies.
• Conduct financial feasibility studies for new outlets, services, or wellness programs.
• Support management with financial planning aligned with the company's wellness and service excellence goals.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in retail, healthcare, wellness, or service-based industries.
• Experience handling multi-outlet financial operations is highly advantageous.
• Proficiency in accounting systems, POS reconciliation, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, organisational, and leadership abilities.
• High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to manage confidential financial information.
