Job Description:

• Transaction Processing & Reconciliation: Managing accounts payable and receivable, ensuring invoices match purchase orders, and reconciling bank statements and balance sheet accounts.

• Financial Reporting & Closing: Leading the month-end and year-end close process, preparing journal entries (accruals, deferrals), and generating financial statements like balance sheets and income statements.

• Compliance & Audit Support: Maintaining strict adherence to GAAP, internal controls, and specific healthcare regulations. Preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries is critical.

• Inventory Accounting & Cost Management: A major focus. Accountants reconcile stock levels, track inventory held at third-party locations (vendor-managed inventory), manage cost of goods sold (COGS), and analyze manufacturing or procurement variances.

• Regulatory & Tax Compliance: Navigating a complex web beyond standard accounting rules. This includes healthcare-specific laws (e.g., Anti-Kickback Statute), FDA regulatory adherence impacting financial reporting, and managing multi-jurisdictional sales/use tax for distributors.

• Systems & Process Coordination: Using specialized software (like SAP or QuickBooks) and acting as a bridge between finance, sales operations, and the supply chain to ensure accurate financial data flow.

Skills and Qualifications

• Education: A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Experience: At least 1-3 years in accounting, with experience in manufacturing, distribution, or healthcare being a significant advantage.

• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel and hands-on experience with ERP systems (like SAP) or accounting software (like QuickBooks).

• Key Attributes: Meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities to collaborate across departments.
