Job description:

We're Hiring: Accountant (Singapore & Malaysia Operations)

Location: Singapore (Full-time)
Industry: Home Living / Blinds & Mesh Systems
Software Required: Xero

We are looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Accountant to manage daily finances and ensure proper financial control across our operations in Singapore and Malaysia. The ideal candidate should have a strong grasp of local tax regulations and experience using Xero accounting software.

Job Responsibilities:Daily Operations
  • Track and chase outstanding payments from clients for completed jobs
  • Issue invoices and send payment requests promptly
  • Manage and record:
  • Supplier payments
  • Staff expense claims
  • Payroll
  • Miscellaneous operational expenses (e.g. car park fees, utilities, GIRO applications)

Bookkeeping & System Management
  • Perform accurate and up-to-date daily bookkeeping
  • Maintain clear financial records using Xero
  • Ensure expense classification is correct and well-documented
  • Reconcile accounts, manage receipts, and organize digital documentation

Tax & Compliance
  • Familiar with Singapore and Malaysia's tax systems
  • Prepare and file GST, CPF, corporate tax, and related filings
  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and government bodies as needed

Financial Reporting & Planning
  • Prepare monthly financial summaries for management
  • Assist in cash flow forecasting and financial planning
  • Provide insights for cost-saving and revenue optimization

Product Understanding
  • Learn and understand our range of blinds and mesh products
  • Ensure accurate product naming and billing when generating invoices

Requirements:
  • At least 1 years of accounting experience (preferably in SME environment)
  • Proficient in Xero accounting software
  • Strong knowledge of Singapore & Malaysia taxation and payroll regulations
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • Fluent in English (Chinese/Malay a bonus for supplier communication)
  • Organized, proactive, and reliable
