Job Title: Audit Associate

Reporting To: Audit Manager / Partner

We are seeking an Audit Associate. The role involves participating in audit engagements, performing and supervising audit procedures, reviewing working papers and financial statements, and ensuring compliance with professional accounting and auditing standards, including pronouncements issued by the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA), the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (Ind-AS), and the International Accounting Standards Board (IFRS). The Audit Associate will also coordinate engagement planning, support staff development, and resolve accounting or auditing issues as they arise.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate engagement logistics, including staffing, locations, and scheduling, in consultation with the manager, practice director, or partner - 20%.
• Perform substantive testing, prepare or review audit programs, and monitor time budgets - 20%.
• Assign audit tasks to staff based on skills and experience - 5%.
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and constructive feedback to audit staff - 10%.
• Evaluate working papers to ensure audit compliance with generally accepted auditing standards - 15%.
• Discuss significant audit findings with the manager, practice director, or partner - 5%.
• Prepare or review financial statements, notes, schedules, and management letters in accordance with SFRS, IndAS, and IFRS - 20%.
• Provide input on staff performance evaluations - 5%.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CA, CPA).
• Knowledge of local and international accounting and auditing standards (ISCA, IFRS, IndAS).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
