Responsibilities:
  • Ensure timely, accurate month-end closing and financial reporting of multiple entertainment entities to Management.
  • Handle full set of accounts, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General ledger (GL), account reconciliation, cashbook and fixed asset register.
  • Review and process staff claim, project petty cash report and inter-company billings.
  • Monitor and reconcile inter-company accounts, liaise with internal stakeholders for any discrepancies.
  • Travel with operations teams during tours/events to update and complete the budgets and settlement reports on the event day.
  • Prepare tour settlement packs in advance of each event for internal and external review.
  • Arrange cash float in advance for tours, through the finance department.
  • Prepare and present settlements and fee reconciliations with promoters, agents or artist tour accountant as required.
  • Stay on top of payment schedules and familiar with contract clauses.
  • Key contact on the ground during the tour, available to provide support and approval for request from the tour manager/ agent.
  • Assist in preparation of company-wide annual budget and project-based budgeting for events.
  • Monitor & analyse actual vs. budgeted project P&L and report variances to the Management.
  • Prepare weekly cash movement analysis and monthly cashflow projections, as well as monitor project funds.
  • Prepare and submit GST returns & withholding tax, and support audits.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulation and financial reporting standards.
  • Coordinate and liaise with external parties including external auditors, tax agents, bankers, corporate secretarial agents, local tax and government authorities where required.
  • On-going discussion with overseas subsidiaries, related-parties and business partners on tax-saving strategies.
  • Guide and review work prepared by Senior Accounts Executives (eg. Bank and corporate secretarial documents, etc).
  • Develop, implement, fine-tune and maintain financial policies and internal controls.
  • Work closely with operations teams to align financial objectives with overall event goals
  • Handle ad hoc financial and administrative assignments as and when required.
  • Work closely with operations teams, Tour Managers/ Agents to ensure costs are controlled and financial risks are minimised.


Requirements:
  • Degree in Accounting, ACCA or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant working experience & supervisory skills in handling project accounts
  • Exposure to withholding tax (WHT) treatment for different countries (Asia and Australia) is a plus
  • Proficient in Ms Excel
  • Familiar with accounting software like Oracle NetSuite, Navision is a plus
  • Good understanding in inter-company transactions and project accounting
  • Strong analytical and financial management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple financial aspects simultaneously
  • Good team player, self-discipline, meticulous, attentive, committed, and able to work independently
