The Role

Mars Veterinary Health (MVH) is a global leader in delivering advanced, high-quality veterinary care for companion animals. Our network of hospitals across Asia offers a comprehensive range of medical services, ranging from preventive and basic health care to specialized services.

As a key member of our Finance team, the Senior Accountant will manage critical accounting functions across our Asia hospitals. This role encompasses ownership of daily financial operations, including Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivables, General Ledger maintenance, month-end and year-end closings, internal and statutory reporting, financial analysis, tax compliance, and active involvement in system implementation projects.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting and Finance Operation

• Liaise and Coordinate with the 3rd party accounting provider on daily accounting and finance operations.
• Processes accounts payable invoice matching and verifying with purchase orders, delivery notes/ goods receipts.
• Review the transactions in Oracle Cloud system and prepare for payment authorization.
• Closely monitor and follow up with operation team/customers on the balance sheet open items.
• Perform weekly sales and cash reconciliation.

Compliance

• Perform PCI compliance.
• Coordinate with external and internal auditors for all audit related matters.
• Work with external accounting firm for accounting and tax related matters.
• In charge of periodic balance sheet review and implement Mars "Minimum Control Requirement".

Reporting

• Perform Helios and HFM submission periodically
• Support Oracle implementation.
• Understand the business performance, perform variance analysis, commentaries and perform presentation for business review.
• Support periodic forecast monthly.
• Perform year end budget exercise and liaise closely with the stakeholders on the budget.
• Coordinate with external and internal auditors for all audit related matters.

Treasury

• Be the point of contact for all banking and terminal matters.
• Perform cash pooling and loan requests with Regional ICTC team.

Other duties

• Perform integration into Mars accounting and reporting policies
• Support accounting and payroll transformation projects.
• Participate in and provide support to process improvement, standardization, and system implementation projects.
• Identify opportunities to optimize processes and eliminate process inefficiencies and redundancies.
• Documentation of workflow and work instructions on new process upon implementation.
• Other ad-hoc duties as required and/or assigned.

Who are we looking for?

• At least 7 years of working experience, preferably combined with experience gained from public audit firm and fast paced MNC environment.
• Solid accounting knowledge of financial reporting standards as well as local tax/audit regulation. Hands-on/relevant working experience in a finance operating environment
• Attention to details and accuracy with strong sense of urgency.
• Ability to handle multi-tasks and respond effectively to ad-hoc requests.
• Independent, self-motivated, capable to meet tight deadline
• Good stakeholder management skills and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Preferable with experience in using Oracle Cloud system or other ERP system.
• Experience in Healthcare industry, retail or FMCG industry is a plus.
• Audit background is preferred.
