Job Description

Workshop Supervisor / Mechanics


JOB OBJECTIVE Reporting to Managing Director, you are to organise, oversee, coordinate and carry out the daily service and maintenance of the workshop, assisting in all aspect of work allocation, providing guidance and support to the maintenance team. Also, ensuring that all work has been completed to the highest standard within the time scale required.



  • Maintain records for vehicles being serviced to ensure that maintenance carried out is documented and planned;
  • Oversee the workshop, supervise the maintenance team ensuring that work has been allocated and completed and vehicles are road worthy for driving;
  • Assist in the maintenance and improvement of all company owned vehicles, checking that all repairs are carried out in a proper manner.
  • Stock control, keeping the workshop tidy and well organized.
  • Maintain a constant workshop ×oor presence as this is a “Hands on" position and you may also be required to carry out mechanic’s tasks as and when is required.
  • To adhere to the Health and Safety at Work Act in all aspects of your work.


  • At least 5 years of experience in Heavy vehicles repair and managing the workshop maintenance team.
  • Strong leadership qualities with interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Possess a valid driving licence.
