About the Department

The Group Technology & Operations (GTO) function comprises of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance and planning support and services. We work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Singapore and overseas branches.

Job Responsibilities

The GTO Performance Management Analyst (Financial Planning & Analysis) will support the GTO financial planning and performance management activities to improve Technology and Operations financial visibility and ensure that the right data is available to provide insights for management decision making.

The GTO Performance Management Analyst (Financial Planning & Analysis) will be accountable for

  • Facilitating the GTO financial planning and forecasting processes
  • Monitoring and management reporting of GTO financial performance
  • Performing financial and performance analysis of the GTO portfolio
  • Providing recommendations for improvement and tracking the progress of the improvement initiatives

Key responsibilities include:

  • Partner with GTO Finance team and internal stakeholders to support the GTO planning, budgeting and forecasting process
  • Develop and maintain tools and templates to facilitate financial data collection and analysis
  • Monitor and report GTO financial performance and identify trends, possible improvements and areas of risks
  • Provide financial and performance analysis to support decision making and strategy development
  • Support the formulating and monitoring of GTO key performance indicators
  • Support continuous improvement of GTO financial planning and performance processes
  • May be required to support ad hoc projects related to line of work
Job Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting with CPA or ACCA equivalent

Experience

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Finance, of which at least 5 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis capacity
  • Budget planning and monitoring experience
  • Prior experience in SAP
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment
  • Banking industry experience preferred

Knowledge and Skills

  • Highly organised, data driven with very strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Highly empathetic and able to vary styles of interaction to match the needs of a variety of audiences and personalities
