About the Department

The Wholesale Bank function operates a dynamic business model that provides financial services and solutions to help our clients achieve their strategic business objectives. Our mission is to become the premier-provider of banking services and solutions for Asia-based commercial banking companies (small medium enterprises), large corporations, financial institutions as well as multinational corporations. Our coverage teams work in full alignment with specialised teams across Transaction Banking, Investment Banking, Global Markets and Group Retail to deliver seamless solutions to our clients.

Job Responsibilities

As a member of the GWB Business Management Support team, you will be responsible to devise internal communications plans, develop content with relevant key stakeholders, and execute communications for Group Wholesale Banking.  You will also be the custodian of GWB communication channels. 

  • Strategize, implement and drive internal communication initiatives globally, working collaboratively across cross-functional and cross-border teams
  • Work with relevant stakeholders at all levels to drive group-wide awareness and support change management for large-scale transformational programs and initiatives.
  • Propose, develop, and execute new methods of creating and distributing information that drive adoption globally, expand program awareness and enhance employee engagement.
  • Develop content and articles for periodic updates and announcements to demonstrate GWB strategic outlook, client success stories, best practices, major milestones / launches etc.
  • Alignment other content development groups within Group Wholesale Banking (GWB)
  • Represent GWB communications group in cross-functional teams across the Bank.
  • Manage the department’s communication channels (regular updates, intranets, publications, annual reports, etc.
  • Communication execution approach :
    • Work with senior management, functional teams and project teams to develop internal communication content which is in line with GWB strategic goals
    • Understand target audience
    • Distribution channel / medium selection
    • Roll out to target audience

Job Requirements

  • A recognized tertiary education with at least 8-10 years of experience in internal / external communications
  • Experience in the banking / financial industry preferred
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with skills in Publisher & PowerPoint
  • Strong interpersonal skills, and proven leadership and people management techniques.
  • Strategic thinking, analytical and result-oriented
  • Team player who is able to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment
