Technical Planning Engineer (M&E)

Job Description:

The Technical/Planning Engineer’s primary responsibility is to formulate technical proposals for the Company’s tender exercises including but no limited to :

Develop technical proposals to ensure that technical issues are addressed within the tender requirements and budget.  Examples are:
Formulation of construction methodologies and proposals for execution of work with respect to tender requirements and available resources
Review of tender documents and drawings to ensure compliance or discrepancies
Review of tender requirements to comply with prevailing authorities’ and EHS (environmental, health, safety) requirements
Liaising and coordinating with Project Team to align tender and actual proposals
Review of designs for alternatives and value engineering proposals
Evaluation of subcontractors’ technical proposals
Preparation and presentation of technical proposals
Study and propose value engineering and alternative solutions taking into consideration cost, schedule, maintenance and life cycle cost implications
Liaise with Consultants and Specialists for technical input as Value Engineering works during tender
Draft tender queries and review tender clarifications
Facilitate the handing-over of technical proposals to the project team after award of project
Liaise with the BIM/draftsman on improved illustration of technical proposals


Recognised Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent approved by PEB

Minimum of 3-5 years’ working experience in technical role in the Construction Industry.
