System Engineer (One North/ $3900)

Job Description 

• To be responsible for Infra for company’s System supporting and maintaining
  • DNS Servers
  • Postfix
  • Backup Software
  • VMware Cluster
  • Cpanel
  • Acronis
  • Veeam
  • Window Operations System and Linux
  • Nagios and Cacti
  • Able to write Python scripts
  • Include liaising with SGNIC on API and Module updates.
  • Implement and support third party cloud services.
• Install, design, managing and maintaining of VMware Cluster’s elements.
• Manage and support Server and storage Equipment.
• Troubleshooting of System related issues.
• Ability to supporting scripting for the related supported applications
• Meeting customer and site installation when required.
• Executing Service Request and Changes.
• Preventive monitoring of the health and status of the platform and systems
• Maintenance of back-up events
• Create and maintain programmatic and technical documentation to insure efficient planning and execution
• Responding to, solving of, first and second line incidents and monitoring all systems elements.
• On-site support for some of the IT Outsourcing Customers.
• Able to on stand-by on weekend.

Requirements

Essential:

• Strong knowledge of Servers and Storage will be added advantage.
• Experience working in System Integrator environment will be an advantage.
• Good knowledge of Telecommunication and IP / Internet Service
• Microsoft Certifications is preferred.
• Any VMware certification will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge on scripting, programming – python.

 

Preferred:

• At least 2 Years working experience in System Integrator and Web hosting environment
• Self-motivated, right attitude, independent and always keen to learn new technologies.
• Good analytical skill and problem-solving ability.
• Dedication to customer service and customer satisfaction
