System Engineer - Linux

• 1 year contract, renewable
• Working hours: Work 2 days, off 2 days - 12 hours shift work (E.g. 9am to 9pm (AM), 9pm to 9am (PM) rotational)
• Working location: Nearby Pasir Panjang / Labrador Park MRT

Job Responsibilities: 

• Responsible for day-to-day support, manage the infrastructure environment assist in troubleshooting issues as needed.
• Documents and publish standards for infrastructure technology.
• Installs and monitors Unix/Linux open-source operating systems.
• Monitors and applies patches as required for best practices on all platforms and applications.
• Identifies, documents, manages, and resolves issues.
• Prioritizes, defines, assigns, validates, and closes routine system requests.
• Reviews metrics for quality control.
• Provides setup and support for Disaster Recovery environment.
• Creates and manages scripts for Linux management.
• Reviews patches for applicability to the environment. Provides patch process for Linux servers to sustain team.

Requirements:

• Min. Diploma / Bachelor Degree in any IT related 
• Min. 2-3 years of experiences in the related field
• Experienced with Windows Servers, Unix/Linux systems
• Conceptual knowledge of storage and networking components
• Must have good problem solving, teamwork, communication and customer service skills.
