About the Department

The Retail function provides Personal and Business Banking customers with financial solutions tailored to their needs. We help them manage their money wisely and meet their financial goals through an extensive range of products and services. These include deposit, insurance, secured and unsecured loans, investment and wealth advisory services.

Personal Financial Services

We design and provide products and services that empower our customers to enjoy greater banking convenience while they extract more value from their money. In particular, we are focused on promoting and developing healthy saving and investment practices across generations.

Job Responsibilities
  • Identify strategic initiatives aimed at driving consistency and efficiency in S&D
  • Review and identify continuous improvement opportunities within S&D harnessing best practices, industry leading framework as well as leading innovative tools and technologies in making S&D a highly effective and quality-driven delivery team within UOB
  • Lead and facilitate the design and implementation of process changes in S&D and own certain S&D sales processes
  • Represent S&D for various transformational projects and work initiatives
  • Manage stakeholders and partner with other teams across the organization to deliver the changes.
  • Manage organization risk in respect of the projects undertaken
  • Manage conflicting priorities and inter-dependencies of the initiatives/programs and other organizational priorities and advising on the course of action as appropriate;
  • Ensure transfer of knowledge and ownership from the program to the rest of the S&D organization;
  • Ensure external perspective in change management and business design is considered and, where appropriate, adopted
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant discipline
  • Significant management and leadership experience in large and complex organizations.
  • A record of achievement in delivering objectives with a high levels of performance
  • A proven, successful track record of managing IT service development, change, redesign or transformation.
  • Detailed understanding of the banking sector, products and processes
  • Demonstrated success in developing highly effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver collaboration, partnerships and services.
  • Experience of having worked effectively at senior level with proven skills in understanding and responding to diverse perspectives.
  • High level of financial and commercial acumen.
