About the Department

The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance and planning support and services. We work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Singapore and overseas branches.

Job Responsibilities

This specialized Group Applications Support shift lead is responsible to manage and support application’s wellness in production

  • Effective administration of assigned processing tasks and service requests
  • Consistently meets the service standards, maintains quality of services, resolves queries timely and accurately
  • Maintain consistent incident management across business towers, resulting in faster turn-around time for incidents & queries
  •  
  • Manage the day-to-day activities as required under the Group Applications production support.
  • Monitor, analyze trends and provide actionable insights to internal stakeholders in optimizing business results
  • Coordinate with various internal and external stakeholders across multiple key technology towers to ensure smooth data-to-insights communication
  • Ensures daily health checks and scheduled tasks are completed as per agreed SLAs and does proactive escalation in case of any observed anomalies, process non-compliance and variations, capturing data relating to support
  • Manage the team seamlessly and provide or solicit timely and salient updates, flag out and escalate key risks and impediments timely and help provide direction to other team members
  • Supports and engages team members to deliver team requirements by working together. Actively participates in team discussions and huddles
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor Degree or above in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, Information Technology or similar
  • At least 5 years prior experience in applications support preferably in banking or financial sector
  • Prior experience in managing a similar IT Operations team will be preferred
  • Strong technical hands-on experience in at least one area – UNIX / Open, AS/400 or mainframe
  • Strong business front-to-back understanding in at least one area – Retail or Wholesale e.g. payments flow, CARDS
  • Willingness to work in shift-based 24X7 production support organizational model
  • Open to work across platforms – UNIX / Open, AS/400 and mainframe
  • Meticulous, inquisitive and proactive
  • Independent worker with good communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with colleagues and external parties of all levels
  • Be able to work in fast pace and high pressure working environment
