Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Lead cross functional team in maintaining product supply/demand balance, including multiple manufacturing sites, production lines, grade/packaging combinations and supply points
  • Align manufacturing capability with sales demand, while working to optimize inventory levels. Communicate constraints and required forecast adjustments to Sales
  • Achieve operating inventory targets, including managing aged, surplus and non-productive inventories
  • Conduct analysis and provide data used to align the organization on feedstock and raw material demand, supply capability as well as logistics requirements
  • Work with Product Management and Sales to analyze and evaluate requests for additional demand and changes to scheduled production
  • Facilitate open and regular communications with the manufacturing sites on planned/unplanned downtimes, production constraints, sample request, etc.
  • Maintain effective communication with Supply Chain Logistics & Distribution (L&D) to resolve transportation, logistics, packaging and storage issues
  • Collaborate with the Demand Analyst/Planner and Sales personnel to develop accurate demand forecasts
  • Leverage the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) system to optimize supply/demand planning and inventory. Evaluate potential scenarios and strategies in the medium to long term, including economics
  • Develop and implement discretionary inventory build strategies to prepare for turnarounds, planned downtimes, maintenance, and manufacturing variability
  • Lead quick response teams to proactively manage supply, quality and logistical issues, and to mitigate customer impacts
  • Monitor and steward Supply Chain Customer Feedback Reports to ensure timely resolution and closure
  • Lead incident investigations to identify and communicate root cause, additional findings, follow-up recommendations, and corrective actions
  • Identify and implement opportunities to drive efficiency in the Supply Chain network

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from a recognized university
  • Global or regional supply chain experience required
  • Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) experience required
  • Petrochemical manufacturing experience a plus
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Well organized and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proactive, with an ability to anticipate, identify and resolve potential issues
  • Effective leadership skills, including influencing with no direct formal authority
  • Adaptability to time pressures and rapidly changing priorities
  • Expertise with SAP (APO, IBP, ECC, AO), and Inventory Optimization software
