Job Description

An established organization is inviting dynamic individuals to apply for the following position:

 

 

SENIOR PROCUREMENT EXECUTIVE

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Assist to determine best procurement strategy
  • Apply specialist knowledge to identify, integrate and implement effective cost saving strategies and participate in continuous improvement opportunities
  • Administer purchases which include processing of Purchase Requisitions, calling for Invitation to Quote and issuance of Purchase Orders in accordance with corporate processes
  • Perform sourcing administrative work in terms of enquiries, comparison and review of quotations, quality, terms and conditions, specifications etc.
  • Manage tender purchases such as formulating tender requirements, coordinating and processing tender requisition, tender evaluation and tender award
  • Establish supplier agreements
  • Monitor outstanding commitments and ensure timely delivery of goods and services
  • Ensure invoices are processed promptly and sent to Accounts for payment
  • Manage suppliers and internal customers’ requirements and ensure daily operational needs such as supply, delivery, quality, service and payment are performed smoothly
  • Keep an up-to-date contract database as well as identifying and acting upon forthcoming renewal required
  • Conduct review meetings for contracts with suppliers
  • Review suppliers’ performance according to organizational requirements
  • Maintain internal policies and procedures and ensure compliance with external legislation
  • Generate and analyze monthly reports
  • Undertake any other ad-hoc duties as assigned

 

 

Requirements:

 

  • Minimum Degree in any field (preferably Engineering)
  • Preferred 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience in procurement and contract management
  • Resourceful, proactive and meticulous
  • Good analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to work independently and has a positive attitude
  • Able to multi-task and meet deadlines with quality results
  • Proficient in written and spoken English
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office application
  • Proficient in the use of SAP
