About the Department

The Wholesale Bank function operates a dynamic business model that provides financial services and solutions to help our clients achieve their strategic business objectives. Our mission is to become the premier-provider of banking services and solutions for Asia-based commercial banking companies (small medium enterprises), large corporations, financial institutions as well as multinational corporations. Our coverage teams work in full alignment with specialised teams across Transaction Banking, Investment Banking, Global Markets and Group Retail to deliver seamless solutions to our clients.

Job Responsibilities

1. Opening of Bank Accounts & Signatory update

  • Coordinate and prepare KYCs, document checklist, confirmation note, etc.
  • Follow up with customers on any missing documents and amendments
  • Follow up with Operations and update Relationship Managers on status of account openings

2. KYC (Ad-hoc and Periodic)

  • Prepare CDD forms
  • Coordinate screenings
  • Obtain updates regarding customer IDs, organization charts etc.
  • Top 5 suppliers/buyers

3. Valuation/ Insurance

  • Obtain documents and coordinate with customers
  • Report accordingly

4. Covenant Monitoring

  • Follow up with customers and update accordingly

5. Documentation (Post-Implementation)

  • Follow up with customers on incomplete documents
  • Coordinate with Middle Office on limit implementation etc.

6. Internal chasing (E.g. Trade status, BIB, Remittance)

7. Sales-related tasks

  • ICX, FD rollovers and solicitation of FD/remittances

We are looking for candidates who aspire to build a sales-oriented career in Commercial Banking. You will start your career as a Business Associate before progressing into the Credit Analyst Division. As a Credit Analyst, you will be conducting credit analysis on an existing portfolio of small- and medium-sized (SME) companies. The top-performing candidates will progress into a Relationship Manager role, wherein you are expected to possess strong client relationship management and interpersonal skills.

Job Requirements
  • Undergraduate or Postgraduate Degree in Business Administration, Accountancy, Banking & Finance.
  • Possess strong client relationship management and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with good grasp of financial analysis and ability to understand risk drivers of the SME market
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Presentable, dynamic, dedicated, self-driven and highly motivated
